This hymn naturally finds its place during the Communion. It accompanies the procession of the faithful towards the altar, in an inward and gathered atmosphere. Its flexible length (repeated refrain, adjusted verses) makes it particularly suited to communions of different durations.
« Domine Sum Dignus » is a hymn for communion: it accompanies this moment of the celebration.
